The East Parking Authority was created in 1971 by ordinance #14. The East Orange Authority is a separate and independent entity of the municipality that created it.
Our office is located at 60 Evergreen Place, Suite 503, East Orange New Jersey. Our hours are 9:00 am till 5:00 pm Monday thru Friday.
Our parking authority consists of 5 volunteered board members appointed by East Orange City Council. A board member is chosen from each ward. Our meetings are held on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m. at our office located at 60 Evergreen Place, Suite 503, East Orange, New Jersey, 07018.

The office of the EOPA is closed for all major holidays which will be set forth in the Announcements section below as necessary. The schedule of holidays for the East Orange Parking Authority can be found under the News and Events page.
The missions of the Authority are to construct, improve, maintain and operate off-street parking, to promote traffic improvements and the free flow of traffic through city streets and to improve conditions affecting public safety and welfare. The Authority is also responsible for the management and operation of on-street parking by the use of parking meters and residential permitted parking.
